10:58am and we're not married

So we’ve been planning this trip, see. I called a few weeks ago and made the appointment with the judge to get married. It was to be this morning at 10:30. We got up and got dressed and were like, “Oh my God, it’s almost 10! We better go!”

We had to stop at the ATM to get the cash for the judge and then we drove the 12 seconds it took to get to the courthouse (we drove instead of walking because- and this may surprise some of you- but I’m actually not getting married in flip flops and my shoes are not fun to walk in). It was 10:01am.

“Dude, we’ve never been this early for anything in our LIVES.”

“No, we really haven’t.”

We went up to the courthouse and killed some time taking pictures. And feeling a little awkward since the building seemed kind of empty and we didn’t know where to go. We found our judge’s office, but she wasn’t there. She had a death in the family (we DID pass a funeral on the way to the courthouse) and she said she could marry us at 3pm.

So we’re going to have lunch, piddle around town, maybe stop at one of the many art galleries if they’re open.

And, you know, THEN get married.

I just knew there would be an update! I have been checking feverishly for updates! I am glad you now have at least one wedding story that you can laugh about on every anniversary from this day forward. Good luck and I hope you are married next time I check this blog! P.S. Pics of the shoes, please. Also, how much do you have to pay the judge?
