I read in a magazine this month about houseplants and how they detox your house. This is something I knew, but forgot. I have ONE indoor plant and it’s just a tiny vine that sits neglected over my sink. The magazine suggested that we have one houseplant for every 100 square feet of apartment/house. So I need 10 more.
Here are my first 3.
We went to Ikea for the uber cheap metal tins. Then we went to Buchanan’s for the plants. In a giant homogeneous city like Houston, it’s sometimes hard to support local owners. But for plants and gardening? No problem! I can think of 4 inside 610 alone. (That I tend to frequent as the months get warmer . . . and as warm spells coincide with paydays.)
