I'M BRINGING REX HIS LUNCH!

For Christmas my cousins gave us a $30 iTunes card.  You can’t really load one card onto 2 accounts, so Dave just said I could have it.  This was perhaps not wise.

Jen’s taste in music has sadly gravitated toward pop. The edgiest thing I purchased in the past year was Common.  (Technically, that’s SO UNDERGROUND seeing as I’m in Houston, land of suck radio stations.)

In search of musical inspiration, I spent early Sunday afternoon watching cheeeeeeese, glorious cheeeeese!

1.  Damn Rhapsody for playing this commercial so much that I can’t get Sara Bareillis out of my head.  Didn’t buy the song, though.  (That was the first time I’d heard it.  I just Wiki’d her and that song dropped in June of 07.  JUNE!  I’m even failing at being a pop music fan!!)

2.  I bought Chris Brown’s Kiss Kiss because, well, I’m just not tired of it yet.  (And it will make a nice addition to my workout (another funny) songs on my Shuffle.)

3.  Dave doesn’t get my fascination with Shakira, but even he thought this video was hot. (I hesitate to link to that one since “intuición” isn’t even spelled right, but it’s the highest quality one and Yahoo! isn’t cooperating with me.  I say Shakira, it plays the Eagles.  I close the window and click a Shakira video again and it plays Fergie.  Again.  Lil Wayne. What are you playing at, Yahoo!? )

4. I also bought “Snakeface” because it wasn’t on the Empire Records soundtrack.  This is entirely irrelevant since I don’t actually own the Empire Records soundtrack, but I used to.  A tape.  That was a copy of a tape of the soundtrack.  And now I own the song that was playing when Liv Tyler was getting Rex Manning’s lunch ready.

5.  I bought Dave the song that was playing during this part of Ocean’s Twelve.

6.  And I watched a whole host of Beyoncé videos I hadn’t seen yet.

And that’s how to kill an afternoon when you’re Jen.  I’d feel bad except I rode 30 miles the day before near Sealy, where there were some hills.  Even my arms are sore.
