Marathon Training. Week 2, Day 1

Yup, still running. I don’t know how many blocks I ran this morning, but I alternated running/walking for 20 minutes.

TAKE THAT, HATERS!!

I find it interesting that the people I like to think would support me most have been totally channeling my inner self-doubting Jen.

Sebastian: “lol.. you RUN?!! fat chance. stick to yoga babe..” And, “You know you shouldn’t be running in those shoes.” Interestingly, he didn’t have a better idea.

Dad, “I don’t know how you’re gonna run a marathon with your asthma.”

Anoop, after I told him I ran 4 blocks: “4 blocks? You call that an accomplishment?” Hell yes! If I get up and do anything at 6:30 IN THE MORNING, especially RUNNING, yes, it’s an accomplishment.

Caroline just called, “JENNIFER!! This is the craziest thing I have ever heard!!!! That’s like me saying, ‘Hey, I’m going to go to the moon!’ Come on, RUNNING???”

For the record, my mom, my boss and various friends have been very supportive.

  1. super! thanks for asking. says:

Jen, I have such faith in you that I not only think you can run, but that you could make ME run if you put your mind to it. Thank you for never, ever doing that.
